Responsible for the general management and conduct the business of the PSO in cooperation with the President Elect and under the direction of the Board. Be the executive officer of the PSO. Preside over all meetings of the Board and membership. Oversee the financial affairs of the corporation. Make all special committee appointments. Have any of the powers and duties as prescribed by the Board. Attend monthly PSO meetings.

Assist the President in the decisions and business of the PSO. Assume the duty of President whenever the President is absent or as the President directs. Chair the Nominating Committee. Assume the Presidency if the President is unable to continue to fulfill the Duties of President. The following year, the President Elect will assume the office of President. Attend monthly PSO meetings.

Responsible for all record keeping. Keep available for inspection copies of the records required by the Oregon Nonprofit Corporation Act. Record the minutes of all proceedings of the Board and the member’s meetings and actions. Make the minutes available for all members to review. Give proper notice of meetings as required. Any other duties as prescribed by the Board. Attend monthly PSO meetings.

Responsible for all corporate funds. Authorization to open a bank account in the name of the PSO. Keep full and accurate accounts of all financial records including in detail all receipts and disbursements. Disburse all funds when appropriate to do so. Make financial reports as to the financial condition of the PSO at each general meeting. Make a copy of the budget available for all members to review. File annual taxes and corporation fees by the deadline. Engage a parent volunteer outside of the current PSO Board to perform an information review (non-statistical) of the PSO accounts and finances on an annual basis. Any other duties as prescribed by the Board. Attend monthly PSO meetings.

Deposit all moneys and other valuable effects. Submit a record of deposit to the Treasurer. Attend monthly PSO meetings.

Recruit committee chairpersons, committee members and volunteers for various school activities. Distribute volunteer support material (i.e. notebooks). Train committee chairpersons to general PSO policies and procedures. Provide on-going support and peripheral supervision of committee chairpersons and committee work. Collect committee support materials and chairperson evaluation, including review to ensure material is up to date and current at the end of the chairperson’s term of service. Provide monthly reports of volunteer hours to school administration and district. Trouble shooting/problem solving with committees and PSO Executive Board as needed. Attend monthly PSO meetings.
