1.  It’s good for your child!  Research shows that children whose parents are involved in their school obtain better grades and have fewer disciplinary problems at school.
  2.  It’s good for the school!  The PSO is responsible for almost all of the school’s fundraising for things like field trips, additional computers, playground equipment, and enrichment programs.
  3.  You will be in the know!  There’s no better way to know what is going on in the school than to be on the PSO.  You will have direct contact with the Principal and you’ll be the first to know about important decisions and changes at the school.
  4.  You will be a wonderful role model!  Your children will see you taking a stand to make education better for them and their peers and chances are they will do the same.
  5.  You will have a forum to share your thoughts!  Your voice and opinion matters.  It makes a difference when you speak up and when we have a well-rounded, diverse group of parents to share ideas.

Please Note:  The Mary Woodward Parent-Student Organization is not able to obtain your contact information from the school due to TTSD confidentiality rules.  If you don’t sign up, you will not receive important information about the volunteer opportunities at Mary Woodward.
